Hello

I’m John Ellis, and my life is a testament to the power of healing, persistence, and rediscovery....

Over the years, I’ve learned that mental health isn’t about fixing something “broken.” It’s about embracing our humanity—flaws, strengths, and all—and finding the resilience to move forward. My journey has shown me that growth isn’t linear, and healing doesn’t have to be lonely.

That’s why I created SteadyResilience.com: to offer something unique in the mental health space. Here, you’ll find content that’s more than educational—it’s relatable, empowering, and designed to meet you where you are.

I believe in the power of community and support, and I would love to share that with you. Together, we can rewrite the narrative around mental health and build resilience for a brighter future.

Let’s grow, laugh, and thrive—one step at a time.

My Story

For over two decades, I’ve faced challenges that tested my resilience, focus, and ability to engage fully in life. Like many men, I navigated the pressures of balancing work, relationships, and personal growth while grappling with unresolved struggles beneath the surface. For years, I didn’t have the tools or insight to understand why I felt so disconnected. This began to change in 2022 when I came across the ACE (Adverse Childhood Experiences) score. That discovery gave me clarity, connecting the dots between my past experiences and the challenges I faced in the present. It was the first step in a journey of self-discovery and growth.

The Turning Point

Understanding the "why" behind my struggles was empowering, but the real change came when I began building the tools to address them. Therapy gave me the structure to process my experiences, mindfulness helped me manage stress, and cognitive strategies taught me to reframe the unhelpful thoughts that held me back. Slowly, I started to rebuild my life, finding stability where chaos once ruled.

Transforming Mind and Body

As I worked on my mental health, I noticed something remarkable: my body transformed too. The tension I carried in my shoulders and chest began to ease. My sleep improved, and with it, my energy levels and focus. Whole-self care became a cornerstone of my recovery. Balancing mental and physical well-being was key to building a stronger, more resilient foundation. Through regular exercise, mindful nutrition, and self-care routines, I discovered how deeply interconnected the mind and body truly are. Addressing one aspect of my health enriched the other, leading to a more vibrant and empowered version of myself.

Lessons from the Professional World

Throughout my career in corporate account management, business development, online banking, and technology, I learned to adapt to challenges, solve problems under pressure, and communicate effectively. But the most important lesson wasn’t about business; it was about the connection between emotional resilience and professional success. I realized that true growth doesn’t come from ignoring struggles but from addressing them head-on with the right support.

Finding Strength in Connection

As I worked to rebuild my own foundation, I discovered the power of community. Having someone who truly understands your experiences and can guide you with empathy makes all the difference. Peer support became a cornerstone of my recovery, showing me how shared understanding and collaboration can lead to breakthroughs in both personal and professional life.

The Journey Forward

Today, I use what I’ve learned to help others find clarity, build resilience, and take control of their lives. Whether it’s improving focus, managing relationships, or overcoming emotional challenges, I work with individuals who are ready to take the next step. Recovery isn’t about perfection; it’s about progress. It’s about reclaiming the parts of your life that matter most.

About Me.

I provide understanding and relatable support to individuals navigating challenges such as CPTSD, PTSD, addiction, trauma, depression, LGBTQ+ identity, and men’s issues. Through shared experiences and a focus on empowerment, I create a safe, judgment-free space where clients can explore their goals and work toward the solutions that resonate with them. While my role is not to diagnose or provide therapy, I am here to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing and growth.
